Passenger services at the terminals

Alicante Airport offers a range of additional services to ensure a more comfortable and convenient experience for all passengers and visitors.

Some of these services require a fee and are only available to passengers, as they are located within the restricted passenger-only area. Although the airport operates 24 hours a day, some services have more limited hours. Please check with the service provider for details.

The following services are available in Passenger Terminal NAT, the only terminal currently in operation. Terminals T1 and T2 remain closed to the public.

Baggage wrapping

Baggage wrapping machine are next to the check-in counters, at Departures areas. To get this service, leave your baggage to the Safebag staff. If you don't want the wrapping machine covers the baggage wheels and handle, you must inform the staff.

Baggage porter

The baggage porter service at Alicante Airport, managed by Grupo 21, assists passengers with transporting their luggage throughout the terminal. In addition to providing greater convenience, porters also act as guides, helping travellers navigate the airport and save time. This service is available by reservation.

Breast-feeding lounge

Families will find a specific room for infants equipped with armchairs, microwaves, clothes racks, changing tables, toilets, and stories and paintings for children.

Airport have 13 Heart Rescue Areas (Semiautomatic External Defibrillator) which aims to assist passengers in case of heart attack, strategically located.

The Duty Free shops at Alicante Airport are located in the passenger-only areas inside the terminal, offering a wide range of tax-free products across three stores: two main Duty Free shops and one Express Duty Free store. The Express Duty Free, closest to the boarding gates, offers a curated selection of the best-selling duty-free products.

These shops feature a wide variety of products from top brands at exclusive prices. Passengers can find perfumes and cosmetics (Versace, Estée Lauder, Clarins), wines, spirits, food products, Travel Exclusive items, sunglasses, watches, tobacco, and much more.

VAT refund

To request Value Added Tax (VAT) refund for purchases in Spain, you must be a non UE resident, and the purchase value for each establishment must be over €90.15. You must present the goods purchased and the "tax free" invoices for these to be stamped at the airport's duty reduction office before checking in your luggage.

If you have a DIVA form that justifies your purchase, you can avoid manual stamp and do it in the automatic machines or in the reading devices for the electronic validation of the DIVA forms, located in the check-in areas.

In order to obtain the VAT Refund, after the electronic validation or the manual invoice stamp, you must go to the tax-free management entities in the airport, or send the sealed/validated invoices to the establishment in question to make the refund.
